  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions green onions chopped
  • 1 lemon or lime lemon or lime for squeezing fresh

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, ensuring the skin crisps up nicely in the air fryer.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, and sesame oil until well combined, creating a flavorful glaze.
  3. Brush the soy mixture evenly over the top and sides of the salmon fillets, making sure to coat them well.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes to ensure it's hot and ready for cooking.
  5. Place the salmon filts skin-side down into the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren't touching to allow for even crisping.
  6. Cook the salmon at 400°F for 8 minutes, listening for the sizzle and aroma of the skin crisping up to a golden brown.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute to settle the juices.
  8. Squeeze fresh lemon or lime over the salmon for a bright, zesty finish that complements the savory glaze.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh, oniony crunch and vibrant color.
  10. Serve immediately, enjoying the crispy skin, tender flesh, and glossy glaze with a side of rice or vegetables if desired.
